Growth Spurt -- A rock band for kids!

The tadpoles of the Tadpole Parade have sprouted legs and are ready to jump!

A dancing, jamming, rocking, unbelievably fun concert experience that the grown ups can enjoy as much as the kids. Be prepared to turn the volume on your air guitar up to at least 12!

The complete Will Hale live rock concert experience with the Growth Spurt Band. Be assured the music is fun and interactive with Will singing, playing percussion, mandolin, guitar, harmonica and sizzling air guitar while jamming with the addition of a fantastic drummer, a funky bass player and a squealing guitarist who are all talented multi-instrumentalists. Additional featured musicians are also available.

• Recommended for kids age 12 to 5.
• Age Group: K – 6th grade and families
• Length: 45 minutes, up to 3 performances per day
• Technical Requirements: A reliable grounded electrical source.

How did you feel after your first rock concert?

Imagine the suspense that fills the air when the house lights go down and a theater full of kids start cheering as the Growth Spurt Band takes the stage. Spotlights are swirling in every color imaginable as the kids jump up and begin dancing to Will Hale’s musical anthem Rock Paper Scissors. Imagine the faces of the kids having their first real rock concert experience!

Trying to explain the magic of live music is as impossible as tasting a lemon by reading every book ever written about lemons. Be assured the kids will be having so much fun they will not realize all they are learning. Study guides and advance CDs will assist in reaping the most lasting benefits for everyone attending a Will Hale Rock Concert Field Trip. This is a genuine rock concert experience with the whole Tadpole Parade Band at the beautiful new Stepping Stone Theater in Saint Paul. Perfect for ages 5-8.

Tadpole Parade "Half band" shows – Duet with Will Hale & Scott Dercks  

Words cannot describe the look on kids faces when Scott plays wild guitar solos behind his head! Trust me, it’s a lot easier with an air guitar. A very high energy interactive show. Easier on the budget and rocks almost as hard as the whole band.

My shows make it easy for kids to participate in every song the first time they hear it. Of course kids enjoy my guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and drums, but by far the most fun is when the kids pick up their inflatable air guitars and jam!

Approximately 45 minute show for larger audiences (over 60) also recommended for outdoor and shows like open houses where there may be mixed ages of kids and adults. (includes Will Hale sound system or Will Hale can supply a wireless microphone and guitar system with event provided sound systems)

Reduced rates are available for multiple shows the same day.

Dances of Universal Peace

From the beginning of time, movement, song and story have brought people together. The Dances of Universal Peace are part of this timeless tradition. Will Hale is a trained leader in a wide diversity of dances representing cultures from around the world with topics suitable for public gatherings, peace studies, conflict resolution, community building, cultural studies, environmental issues and comparative religion studies.

These topics are all possible extensions of the Dances of Universal Peace and are an excellent opportunity for creating a multi-generational experience. These dances are firmly rooted in the oral tradition, which makes direct experience a vital component in effectively communicating the cultural traditions of the dances. The simplicity of the movements and phrases can allow everyone to participate. By stepping into the dance, participants have an opportunity to experience directly the essence of the tradition of each dance.
